The Chronicles of the Templars in the Holy Land presents a fascinating epic that spans over 80 years, from the Ottoman Empire and British Mandate until their expulsion from the country on the eve of the establishment of the State of Israel.

In 1868, a religious-messianic sect left its homeland in the State of Wuertemberg in southwest Germany and settled in the Holy Land, imbued with utopian yearnings for a better world through spiritual renewal and hard work. Following a period of agonizing pioneering and many hardships that
characterized life in the Holy Land at that time, the Templars managed, with the aid of Western technology, to advance their initiatives in: agriculture and
industry, architecture and building, road development and transportation, and tourism.
The fourth decade of the 20th century marks the twilight of the Templar narrative reaching a dramatic climax with their final expulsion in 1948. The
British decree came as the result of a rise in German patriotism at the expense of the Templars’ religious beliefs, as well as the fact that a number of them had joined the National-Socialist Party of Mandatory Palestine.
The Israeli historiography of the annals of the Templars grapples with the dialectic tension between the Zionist view that appreciates the Templars as early pioneers and the historical reasons leading to the termination of the Templars’ settlement in the Holy Land.

Gabriel Café Restaurant, Tel Aviv

Montifure, 42
Tel 03 5667020
Tel Aviv

This charming café is located in the trendy area in the center of Tel Aviv in an old renovated house that has been beautifully designed. Furthermore, the
restaurant serves excellent food. The Gabriel Café Restaurant is open all day. We recommend the breakfast. At the back this coffee shop you will find a shop of house alliances. The shop is over priced but the view
is nice. Breakfast is $20. We liked Gabriel very much :)

Ein Hod¸ a picturesque artists' village

We recommend a day trip to Ein Hod¸ a picturesque artists' village, only 40 minutes from Tel Aviv. Nestled in natural vegetation and bordered by an
ancient olive grove on the western slopes of Mt Carmel. Looking out towards the sea and the Crusader fortress of Atlit, Ein Hod is for lovers of art, landscape and nature. The Ein Hod Artists' Village is a perfect place to spend a few hours a full day or a few days. The village's founder and a member of Dada, a pivotal movement in modern art. Nearby is the Artists'
Gallery, exhibiting one of the largest collections of Israeli art with a variety of permanent and temporary exhibitions from every artistic field. In the village
there is a large variety of local artists' private galleries and studios. In the village you can enjoy restaurants and café.

The Scottish Guest House In Jerusalem – Café with a view

The Scottish Café and Guest House is located in a superb location on a hill overlooking the Old City. This beautiful building, which was built in 1930,
provides a comfortable place to stay over night at a moderate price. Our recommendation is to come in the afternoon, sit on the balcony and enjoy the colonial atmosphere. With the Hinnon Valley and Mount Zion the
Scottish Guest House balcony offers one of the best views in town.
