Arcadia
10 Agrippas St.
02-6249138
Jerusalem
Warning! This restaurant is very expensive but worth
it!
Tucked in a narrow alley in the center of Jerusalem,
is one of Israel’s leading restaurants - Arcadia.
Owned by creative chef Ezra Kedem, it offers a mix
of French cooking and Mediterranean cuisine which
makes full use of wonderful local ingredients. Arcadia
is set in an exquisitely renovated old building with
a dining area divided by stone arches into intimate
areas. Ezra Kedem devotes much of his time to traveling
around Israel and the world discovering new dishes
and exploring gastronomic tastes. He serves unique
local wines from small vineyards all over Israel and
cheeses from specialized farms in the Judean hills.
The restaurant offers a business lunch which is somewhat
cheaper than the
a la carte dishes. We recommend making a reservation
beforehand.
Price 60 -100$ per person.

Afternoon trip to the Dominus
Flavus Church
Mount of Olives
Jerusalem
If you have an early afternoon to spare in Jerusalem,
make a trip to the Dominus Flavus Church on the Mount
of Olives. It offers a spectacular view of Jerusalem.
One can get there from the Gethsemane Gardenin East
Jerusalem. At the first right there is a steep road
that leads to the top of the Mount of Olives. The
second turning on the left leads to the Dominus Flavus
Church (there are signposts indicating the church).
Once inside the gate, you will find a beautiful garden
where you can sit and gaze at the entire city. This
must be one of the most extraordinary sights in Jerusalem.
The church itself has a famous window that also offers
a great view of the Old City. But the ultimate experience
is to sit in the garden, with Jerusalem at your feet.

La Cuisine, a little bakery
Aza Street 28

Jerusalem
You will find Jerusalem’s best bakery in this
old neighborhood of Rehavia, not far from downtown
Jerusalem. La Cuisine is a small bakery/coffee shop
run by an American baker who makes the tasty cakes,
cookies and pastries in the city. There are tables
inside you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a delicious
pastry to the sound of jazz.

Night Life In Jerusalem
The Colony
Derech Betlehem 7
Jerusalem

Jerusalem boasts today a growing nightlife. A new
trendy area, called "Metcham Ha Rakevet"
(the train compound) is situated between Derech Hevron
and the German Colony.
The area first took off with the "The Lab"
a theatre for avant-garde shows in an industrial setting.
It was followed quickly by an array of bars, restaurants
and clubs. Our favorite is The Colony. Set in a 19th
century building which was the actual train warehouse,
it is a beautifully designed bar restaurant with a
great atmosphere. It has a terrace and outdoor bar.
The Colony stays open till very late at night and
regularly hosts DJs and bands.
