April ushers in, once again, a festive holiday season,
when the country is abuzz with special happenings
for the holiday and festivals galore. Here are a few
suggestions of what you can do during this month throughout
Israel.
Nabatean Market – April

The heart of the ancient city Mamshit will come to
life this Passover with a Nabatean style market place.
There will be numerous vendors selling their goods
including carpets, jewelry, tapestries, copper, baskets,
dresses, spices, myrrh and frankincense, oils, candles,
and foods of different flavors. Along side the various
vendors you can enjoy special events such as musical
performances, workshops with different craftspeople,
and tours of the ancient city.

Dead Sea AHAVA Festival -
April 2 – 9
Celebrate the lowest place on earth this month at
the Dead Sea AHAVA festival. The festival, which will
take place during the week of Passover, includes special
tours of the area and concerts with the biggest names
in Israeli rock music. Some of the tours and concerts
will take place during the late night and last into
the morning hours. You can also take this time to
enjoy the many beaches, restaurants, and spas the
area has to offer.
